Irene's Saree Maternity Photoshoot
Irene has been a returning client of mine for years. She is pregnant with her second baby and she is back in the studio. This time, for her saree maternity photoshoot.
It is always so special to me to photograph mamas-to-be in a traditional Indian saree. I am from India myself so getting to celebrate our culture in this way makes a part of me feel at home. Especially being so far away, I know mamas find it to be really special too. It has been a blessing to get to do so many shoots with mamas wanting to wear their saree. It all began with this shoot where my client came to me with the request to take inspiration from a Raja Ravi Varma painting. One of those photos even going on to win an international Outstanding Maternity award!

For Irene's shoot, we focused a lot on warm, gold tones paired with navy and red, her saree being red and gold! Her husband and daughter joined her with the navy and red showing up in their outfits! The colors are all so beautiful together.
Irene had her first shoot with me years ago and loved the process and the style so much that she and her family continually book photoshoots with us to celebrate their milestones.
