Maternity Photography Minneapolis, Minnesota
This mama was actually a friend of a previous client of mine. She had come to the studio with her friend to help out with her session. She really loved the experience she saw her friend have and the photos we created. So, when it came time for her own maternity photos, she decided to come back!
She had shared some inspiration before her consultation which included a gown that was really different from anything I had in the client closet, so I found something special for her! They are having a baby girl, so we picked this pink puffy dress which she loved! During her consultation, she tried on most of the outfits I have in the client closet and she, of course, looked SO gorgeous in all of them. She originally came in to pick out two or three looks, but ended up picking out four.
That is one reason why I find consultations to be so helpful. Especially with maternity sessions, you can try on the gowns we have and see the space and the backdrops available. We want to make sure the session that we plan gives you exactly what you want, especially if you come in with a vision in mind.
We spoke during her consultation for almost an hour planning the session making sure the details aligned with what she envisioned. She was really drawn to the color red, so we made sure to plan a few red outfits and the red backdrop. You can see some of the behind the scenes video here!
Saree Maternity Photography
She wanted to do a look with a traditional saree, which I always love getting to plan for and shoot. After this past session with another client who wore a traditional Indian saree, I was so glad to have another client wanting something similar. It is so special to capture maternity photos with the traditional outfits!
We packed quite a few looks into a mini session. We had a lot planned and she knew she wanted a smaller package—she wanted 7 or 8 images nothing more, but she did want the multiple outfits. Luckily, we were able to do everything and she was glowing the whole time. I am so glad we were able to give her exactly what she wanted! In the end, she loved all of her pictures and it just warms my heart.
