Something I love about milestone photos is how each milestone is different, but celebrates those really important stages in life that tent to just fly by right under our noses.

Traditional Milestone Photos


The traditional Indian Mundan ceremony is a Hindu ritual that marks a child's first hair cut. It is a very special milestone that is often celebrated with friends and family when a child is 1-3 years old. Taking portraits is not necessarily a part of the tradition, but to have photos of this milestone is very special. I was so honored to be a part of this! We created this set up for the background and had him in the traditional outfit as well as capturing a few photos of him in a more modern, simple setting in the studio.

Traditional milestones like Mundan are so important. You will never regret making the investment to document it, but you might regret NOT having photos to look back on. This family will always be able to look back to this time with photos of their child right before the ceremony took place.
