Senior Pictures Minneapolis
I have recently been really enjoying taking senior pictures! This girl was one of my first seniors! We had a great time around the city getting the senior pictures Minneapolis and I had to offer for her! She wanted a mix of downtown/city centered photos and nature based photos. So we went to two locations during our session!
From the planning to the final delivery of senior pictures, the details are always my favorite part. I love helping plan outfits, planning backgrounds/locations, guiding you through poses, fixing those flyaways or making sure your outfit is laying perfectly, even in the editing stage. Those little details matter. Senior pictures are meant to document a special time in a young person's life. It is a milestone. These moments matter, down to the little details.
Downtown Minneapolis Senior Pictures
We did this senior pictures session in two parts since she wanted both urban/city and nature photos! So, in the early morning we adventured to a few spots in Downtown Minneapolis, kind of near Stone Arch Bridge.
She also liked the idea of softer, nature photos. We went to Port Excelsior on Lake Minnetonka around golden hour, right before the sun sets. It gave the photos this golden glow which is beautiful. The shore of the lake looks so peaceful and adds something special to her photos! It feels like being on the beach.
The day of her shoot was a little chilly, which can sometimes be a challenge. Even in her dresses, she did great! You wouldn't even be able to tell how cold it felt to actually be there in real life.
With the cold, posing was very important. I guided her through the whole session. I wanted to make her as comfortable as possible. Being in front of the camera can be intimidating sometimes. Some people tend to worry about knowing how to stand or what to do with their hands during the shoot. I always aim to completely take care of this! I will give direction and adjust when needed. At least for my clients, it really isn't as intimidating as it may seem.
Nature spots, downtown, waterfront, in a park, or even in the studio, we will find the perfect spots that fit your vision and personality.
